Q: Do we have to sign a contract?
A: We ask you to sign a simple agreement. It covers the main features of our mutual commitments. The agreement protects both parties and clearly shows exactly what you have booked; what you can expect from us; how much it will cost and what we require from you.

Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: When you have chosen your video package we require a holding deposit of 10% of the total cost of that package, at the time of booking. No date can be held in our schedule without receiving the deposit and a signed booking form.

Q: When is the full payment required?
A: No. We do not accept credit cards. Payments must be made by bank transfer, cheque or cash.

Q: Do your prices include VAT?
A: We are not VAT registered, so VAT is not required.

Q: Do you sub-contract business to other videographers?
A: We do not subcontract. John or Jonathan will cover your wedding or both of them, if you have two cameraman. Occasionally either may be supported by another videographer we work with regularly. We offer a personal and friendly service and most of our bookings come through recommendation. John or Jonathan edit all our films in our studio, which means that you can rest assured that your film is secure and of the highest standard.

Q: What happens if we have to cancel?
A: Should you need to cancel your booking 90 days or more before your wedding date, we will refund your deposit in full. Cancellation between 31 and 89 days prior to the date of the event will result in the retention of the full amount of the deposit paid. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the date of the event, you must pay the full amount of the total agreed package price.

John Turner DVD will make every realistic effort to re-book the late cancelled date. If we can re-book the cancelled date, then the monies owed will equate to any price differential as a result of a different package being selected, or discounts having to be offered to secure a new booking. Any cancellation must be submitted in writing to our postal address.

Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. We have full Public Liability and Personal Indemnity Insurance. Copies of the certificates are available on request.

Q. What background music will accompany my wedding film?
A. We use music you have chosen and supplied on disc or MP3. We can select appropriate music for you, if you require. We assume you have cleared any copyright requirements. Alternatively, we can arrange blanket fee coverage for 50.

Q. How do I provide the music?
A. We would prefer MP3 format emailed to us, or on memory stick or CD. We ask you to list your tracks (at least 8 please) on the booking form and on the disc and also to write your names on the CD you provide to us.

Q. When will we receive our first edit?
A. This will depend on work load. After filming, all footage is loaded onto our servers and then put in a queue waiting for space on our editing suits. As soon as the edit has started we contact our clients to give them a time frame to expect their first draft. On receiving your first draft you have the chance to express your views on the final edit. Editing and feedback can be a long process which we cover in our client meetings.

Q. Are there any requirements for the cameramen?
A. Our cameramen must be provided with a meal and a drink whilst the wedding breakfast takes place. In addition, they will require access to cold, soft drinks through-out the wedding, as they may be working for long periods of time without a break.
